Current Development
Lambda 0.14.x is in development with selected routines being re-coded in amiga asm
(tests show 50-120% speed
increases in routines coded in assembly compared to their C counterparts).
Lambda is now entirely dependant on an FPU being present. Have a look at the Info/Data section for the new requirements
Alas, due to the slug like speed of the 68882 FPU commonly associated with 030
processors, you may find Lambda
unbearably slow on your machine - time to upgrade :)
Also Macross' information and email have been added to Command Crew and Hailing
Frequencies respectively.

Site Update
Finally completed the Low Bandwidth/No Frames Version of Lambda Sector. Just
follow the link at the welcoming
page or click here!
No more pulling your hair out waiting for those anim gifs to loads :P
The results of the FPU Poll confirm that Lambda will be FPU only. 80% of the game
engine has already been
converted to Floating Point math. Speed tests are encouraging.
Also to test the portability of the code Lambda has been re-compiled onto the PC -
114fps on a PII-233Mhz!!!. This
does not mean that there will be a PC version of Lambda, it is just an exercise.
